Scotchtails was conceived by Oliver Hiam and Dominic Hamdy while at university. A genuine love and excitement for the scotch egg spurred them on to experiment with its form and embark on a mission to perfect it. This journey led them to create eggs varying from the dependable traditional pork to the more adventurous squid and chorizo.
Their first attempt to commercialise their home made creations found them at London’s historical Berwick Street Market alongside fruit vendors and bric a brac hawkers as if from times of old. From here they were invited to apply for a pitch at Borough Market and have operated a stone’s throw from London Bridge ever since.
